I earned a B.A. in Literature and Writing from UC San Diego and an M.A. in Humanities from CSU Dominguez Hills.  I have been a high school English teacher for 20 years, teaching college prep courses, International Baccalaureate, and AP Language and Composition. In addition, I am a  2004 Fellow of UCI Writing program and completed additional training with UCI Writing Project II in 2006, collaborating with many outstanding educators to develop best practices in language arts instruction. In addition to teaching, I enjoy nature activities like hiking, foraging, and wild-crafting, growing herbs, roller skating, art, and being a mom to  a fiery teen who also attends this school.
